The centrepiece is the Schiller FRED PA-1 Automated External Defibrillator, a Swiss-made AED designed for people with no medical training. It talks the rescuer through a simple 1-2-3 sequence, comes with pre-connected electrodes so the pads go on the chest without fumbling, analyses the heart rhythm itself, and either delivers the shock automatically or prompts you to press one button. A fingertip pulse oximeter shows oxygen saturation and pulse in seconds, and a digital blood pressure monitor gives responders the numbers an arriving paramedic will ask for. Where oxygen cylinders are kept, oxygen regulators and flow meters make delivery controlled and safe, and a portable suction machine clears the airway of an unconscious patient who cannot swallow.
